Support and Services we can offer
Volunteers
Have
a bit of spare time on your hands and looking to help the local
community and yourself at the same time. Then how about volunteering
at HRCAP, we offer opportunities ranging from Admin work to gardening,
the list is endless, so please ask, don't be shy.
If you're running an event but could do with a few extra hands
to help out, give us a shout, we have a list of volunteers who
have been police checked and who may be willing to help.
Transport
The HRCAP has access to two mini buses,
one has a lift. All drivers are MIDAS trained, police checked
and work across a wide area, stretching from Shiney Row to Murton.
Crèche
The Octopus Garden Crèche is a registered
crèche day care facility open between the hours of 9am and
8pm. Children aged between 0-14 years can use this facility
whilst their parent/s, guardian/s or carer/s are on training courses
or volunteering. All childcare staff hold relevant qualifications.
ICT facilities with Broadband
Internet services
We have 12 PC's all attached to the internet,
which are free to use to members of the public, as long as you
abide by our Internet Usage Policy.
Accessible building
Our building has ramps and a lift making
it accessible for people with buggies or in a wheelchair.
Help with basic English and
Maths
If you wished that you had stuck in more
at school in English or Maths, then maybe we can help you get the
qualifications you need. To find out how we can work together
to reach your full potential pop in for a chat, who knows you might
even get a cuppa?
Play Club
Monday and
Friday between 4.00pm-6.00pm for ages 8-12 years old.
Places are limited.
Come along and join in with qualified workers in a fun, friendly,

Support
Do you need access to the Internet or just
use a computer to update your CV, write speculative letters, send
and receive emails or polish up your ICT skills. Click

Training
Courses
HRCAP pride themselves in delivering a
mixture of both accredited and non-accredited courses, for example,
gaining a qualification in Maths to Salsa dancing for your Spanish
holidays. We work with three main organisations who are Famiy Adult
and Community Learning and Workers Education Association. Click
